Harry Bongo

Edinburgh-based musician and sound artist Harry Bongo creates music that moves fluidly between lush soundscapes, melodic fragments, and rhythmic interplay. Drawing on electro-acoustic practice, minimalist techniques, electronica, and post-rock, his work ranges from contemplative ambience to euphoric crescendos, always with a focus on atmosphere, mood, and scene-setting. Using live sampling, improvisation, and tactile processes, Harry sculpts evolving textures, sometimes drifting as ‘clouds of sound,’ other times resolving into more grounded, melody-driven pieces.

His immersive live audiovisual performances invite listeners into shared, ecological listening experiences, where music emerges in real time through interaction with instruments, technology, audiences, and place. This practice seeks to create not only sound but environments for reflection, imagination, and collective encounter.

Open to collaboration, recording, and live performance.

Available for interdisciplinary and site-responsive projects.

“meditative, arresting, shocking, peaceful…never a dull moment from start to finish with the listener’s mind consistently pulled in opposing directions.”

“…intense, cinematic swirl of computerised arpeggios and throbbing drums.”

“layers of lush strings and field recordings creating a warm sense of space.”

“…twists and turns, weaving samples over frantic drum loops, distorted pianos and wild, echoing synth bleeps.”
